About Us
Organization Background
When a group of Mombasa’s professionals residing in the six sub counties of Mombasa county met to deliberate on the need to establish a Community Based Organization (CBO) on 8th February 2018, they were all convinced that Mombasa city required, apart form the county government agencies charged with the responsibility of development more importantly, it also needed the ability to mobilize residents to join hand in keeping the town clean.
However, the initial membership has enlarged and we have members drawn from other counties in the coastal region.
This is mainly due to the existing ecosystem which cuts across the six counties and the common link of the ocean and marine ecosystem. It must also be noted that there is a strong socio-cultural bond cutting across the Coastal region.
